JAMES EDWARD TORREZ\nBRIGHAM CITY - Our loving son, father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend, James Edward Torrez, 34, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 21, 2018. He was born on April 17, 1984 in Rupert, Idaho. A son of Zulema and Jorge Esparza.\nJames graduated from Dale Young Community High School. He was a member of the Catholic Church.\nJames was a passionate football fan; a proud Dallas Cowboys fan and never afraid to show it. He loved rebuilding lowrider cars and was a member of a car club with family and friends who shared the love of classic, rebuilt cars. James was the family comedian and always had an amusing story, he was sure to keep everyone laughing. He proclaimed himself "James Brown" because of his love for music and admirable "break-dancing" skills. James especially enjoyed fishing with his grandpa, uncles and step-father; it was his ideal quiet time that he considered 'peaceful and relaxing.'\nSurviving are his two daughters, Angel and Nevaeh Torrez; parents, Jorge and Zulema Esparza; one brother, Joey Sandoval; two sisters, Rosalinda and Maria Sandoval; nine nieces and nephews, six great-nieces and nephews, many cousins, aunts and uncles. James loved everyone in his family, but he had a special relationship with his uncles David and Paul, and cousins Elizabeth, Junior, Aaron and Esmeralda.\nHe was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rosendo and Rafaelia Torrez.\nA viewing will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2018 from 11:00-12:30 at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City, Utah\nMass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 1:30 pm located at St. Henry's Catholic Church, 380 South 200 East, Brigham City, Utah.\nInterment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
