Dear Scott and Randy,
I am so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. Jacque and I both wanted to be there but I am teaching school and Jacque is out of town. Jacque lost her husband to illness last year and I lost my dad a couple of years ago as well. No matter how you prepare yourself, you are never ready to lose those you love.

I have so many fond memories of the years we spent with you guys. You had remarkable parents that raised a wonderful family. Although I don't know your sisters well, I am sure they are cut from the same cloth. You both knew how to work hard and play hard. Your house was where I was 1st exposed to any video game as you were the 1st ones I knew to have Pong. And who else would ever dream of going cliff diving in a car??? On top of the unusual experiences, there were also hours of waterskiing, riding motorbikes, and just hanging out. I have always thought so highly of you and will always cherish those memories and be grateful to your parents for raising you. You will be in my thoughts and prayers as you navigate the difficult days ahead.
Sincerely,
Lynette White Kern

Jill, Susan, Scott, and Randy, I was saddened to hear about your Dad’s passing. . Mary just notified me the other night when she was looking for another person’s obituary and came across your Dad’s. I wanted to come up to Brigham for his viewing and services, but our one car has problems and my husband has to have the other car for work. My mind is filled with memories of our childhood growing up next door. I remember your Dad raking leaves so we could jump out of the tree into the pile. I saw more of your Mom than I did your Dad, maybe because he was busy with his work and the ice machines. I remember the ice and him working with his ice business. He seemed to work hard for his family. I remember him getting after you Jill, when we were playing in the sprinkler and you had not done something he had asked you to do. Lol. Funny how those kind of things come to mind. I also remember that I thought he was very important because he was on the Jeep Patrol and I remember that red hero truck of your family’s and riding in the back of it to go gather beer bottles to clean out and make our homemade root beer. I’m sure he appreciated the way you all helped him out in his later years, faithfully traveling to his house and helping him out in the yard. I remember the last time I saw him in person was at Peach Days time about 4 or 5 years ago when you were all over at his house doing yard work and helping him out.and I was checking out our old house wishing I could buy it back. I was hoping to go up there this year and visit with you when you were at his house. Hopefully, I will see you at another time. We should all organize a neighborhood reunion and get together! Praying for your peace and comfort, as I know that when our parents leave us, it leaves a void here on earth, even when we know they are in a better place. I will see if I can stream the services.

With love and condolences,

Christine (Endress) Penn
